Jordan COVID-19 positivity rate stands at 9.65%

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 4,012 new COVID-19 cases and 36 new deaths on Sunday, bringing the total death toll to 11,551 and the total number of cases to 943,305.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 1250 cases, while Zarqa recorded 368 cases. Irbid registered 830 cases, Balqa 402 cases, Karak recorded 126 cases, Jerash recorded 264 cases, and Tafileh recorded 22 cases. Madaba registered 120 cases, Aqaba 72, Ramtha 140, and Ajloun 130.

The ministry said in a statement that 125 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 156 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 51,182 according to the ministry. Out of 41,960 COVID-19 tests conducted Sunday 9.56 percent of them came back positive.
