Talal Al-Fayez, the acting director-general
of the department, mentioned that this decision affects the directorates of
civil status and
passports in various cities, including Amman, Zarqa, Irbid,
Balqa, the West Bank, and Gaza. The regular working schedule will be reinstated
without any changes, Hala News reported.
Fayez highlighted that the move to halt Saturday
working hours is in response to the growing number of visitors during the
summer season. The goal is to provide citizens with greater ease and
convenience in completing their transactions. He underlined the department's
commitment to maintaining extended hours until the last pending transaction is
processed.
