AMMAN —
The joint
Jordanian-Egyptian Land Transport Technical Committee concluded its
meetings in Amman on Tuesday, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

The meeting, which
discussed ways to enhance transport cooperation between the two countries, was
headed on the Jordanian side by Ministry of Transport Secretary-General Wissam
Al-Tahtamoni, and Egyptian Domestic and International Land Transport Regulatory
Authority CEO Sayed Metwalli.
Talks focused on
facilitating the transit of Jordanian trucks through Egyptian territory to
Libya, and completing an electronic linkage project.
Discussions also
tackled the prospect that the Egyptian commercial and industrial sectors use
storage and logistical facilities in the
Aqaba Special Economic Zone, in
addition to reducing fees on ships carrying hazardous materials in Nuweiba
Port.
