Safadi emphasized the need to protect civilians from both sides in accordance with shared values and international law, noting that depriving innocent civilians, including children, women, and the elderly, of food and sustenance is a war crime.

He stressed that war will not bring security or peace and that violence cannot justify more violence, and killing cannot justify more killing.

He highlighted the severe and long-lasting consequences of the ongoing conflict, stating that violence cannot be justified and that achieving security, peace, and stability for all parties is becoming increasingly difficult.

Safadi reiterated that there is no bypassing the Palestinian issue and that neglecting it is not an option.

He expressed concern about the worst-case scenario, stating that all indications suggest that the worst is yet to come, and Jordan is working to prevent it to the best of its abilities and called on the international community to help with the efforts.
