The correspondent observed that the hospital is operating
at ‘full capacity’, with patients undergoing treatment and surgeries being
conducted inside, affirming that the hospital is
committed to continuing its work despite the challenging circumstances they
face, Al-Mamlaka TV reported.
The correspondent further described the
extent of destruction in Khan Younis as ‘unimaginable’, noting a significant
transformation in the city's landmarks, particularly as it is the largest in
the strip. He reported that numerous houses and UNRWA-affiliated schools in the
city were either completely or partially destroyed.
Concerning Nasser Medical Hospital, the
correspondent clarified that it currently sits empty and vacant, with
substantial portions destroyed, giving no indication of its status as a
hospital. He mentioned the destruction of walls and upper floors in one of the
buildings.
According to the Gaza Health Ministry, the
Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) stormed the Nasser Medical Complex in Khan
Younis on February 15, subsequently converting it into a military barracks
following the demolition of the southern wall and their entry through it.
