NABLUS
— On Tuesday, Al-Mamlaka TV reported on the patients of successful procedures

different
surgical procedures since its launch in Nablus.

Given
the shortage of medicines and medical supplies in Palestinian territories, the
hospital serves as a health and treatment refuge for those in need, including
the impoverished and low-income workers. This comes after Israel expelled
thousands of workers and prevented them from working within the
occupied territories, specifically since October 7.
Patient
Alaa Sa’id praised the efforts of doctors and nurses within the hospital,
emphasizing that the quality of treatment provided by the hospital and its
doctors are excellent compared to other hospitals in the city.
Ahmad
Maher Abu Hashish, who regularly visits the hospital, stated that the
hospital’s presence is a clear indication of Jordan’s support, solidarity, and
empathy with the Palestinian people.
On
another note, patient Sara Abdel Qader shared that she underwent a successful
nerve transplant surgery at the hospital a few days ago. She expressed
gratitude to the doctors who performed the procedure.
The
hospital consists of 7 trailers, including an operating room, medical care
unit, laboratory, radiology department, pharmacy, dental clinic and admission
sections. Additionally, there are 12 tents for patient reception, emergency
services, minor surgical procedures, clinics and patient waiting areas. The
hospital also has an administrative section and a
pharmacy.
The
Director of the hospital, Dr. Fadi Maaytah, affirmed that by Jordanian Royal
decree the hospital was sent to Nablus to support Palestinians, provide them
with health care, and meet their medical needs. The hospital began its
operations on Nov. 23.
Regarding
available medical specialties, Dr. Maaytah mentioned that they include
neurosurgery, chest medicine, general surgery, urology, pediatric surgery,
pediatric internal medicine, hematology, orthopedic surgery, maxillofacial
surgery, thoracic surgery, general internal medicine, emergency medicine and
trauma surgery.
The
administrative assistant of the hospital, Ahmad Zuhair Al-Drabseh, affirmed
that the hospital has been equipped with all necessary medical supplies,
medications, and human resources due to efforts made by the
Jordanian Armed Forces – the Arab Army (JAF).
Ghassan
Daghlas, Governor of Nablus, praised the continuous Jordanian support for the
Palestinian cause across all domains. He emphasized that the establishment of a
Jordanian hospital in Nablus is not surprising, given that they have witnessed
the generosity of the Hashemite family throughout history, whether on the
political, economic and social fronts.
It is
worth noting that Jordan operates five field hospitals in Palestinian
territories: three in the West Bank, Nablus, Ramallah, and Jenin, and two in
Gaza, Khan Yunis and Tal al-Hawa. These hospitals provide free treatment and
medication to hundreds of thousands of Palestinians.
