Jordan, French armies discuss ties, region

AMMAN — Jordan discussed with visiting French military officials ways for closer cooperation, particularly in joint training, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.اضافة اعلان

Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Jordan Armed Forces - Arab Army, chaired the Jordanian side to Tuesday’s meeting with Vice Admiral Jean Hausermann, an assistant chief-of-staff of the French Armed Forces at the General Command Headquarters, Petra said.

In the meeting attended by several officers from both sides, including the French defense attaché in Amman, the two sides also discussed “latest regional and international developments,” Petra said. It did not elaborate.
