Amman - The Jordan Tourism Board (JTB), in partnership with the Jordanian Embassy in London, hosted a student delegation from the United Kingdom as part of the UK-MENA Network from August 18 to 25.اضافة اعلان

The delegation included students and graduates from prestigious institutions such as Oxford University, King's College London, and the London School of Economics and Political Science.

According to a JTB statement on Sunday, the visit was part of a strategic collaboration aimed at promoting Jordan as a prime educational tourism destination for British university students.

During their stay, the delegation met with notable Jordanian figures, including His Royal Highness Prince El Hassan bin Talal, Chairman of the Higher Council for Science and Technology, Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh, Senator Mohammad Momani, Secretary-General of the Foreign Ministry Majed Qatarneh, and Director-General of the JTB Abdul Razzaq Arabiyat.

Discussions during these meetings emphasized the economic significance of the tourism sector in Jordan and the potential of educational tourism for British students, particularly in studying Arabic and exploring the country's antiquities.

The delegation expressed interest in establishing partnerships with British universities to market Arabic language programs in Jordan.

They highlighted their capacity to identify students with an interest in Middle Eastern studies, Arabic courses, and archaeology.

Additionally, the group showed enthusiasm for organizing information sessions and presentations at British universities to promote study-abroad programs in Jordan, aiming to strengthen cultural ties between the United Kingdom and Jordan.

The UK-MENA Network is dedicated to fostering cultural understanding and enhancing relations between the United Kingdom and the countries of the Middle East and North Africa region.
