AMMAN – On Saturday, the
Information and Communications Technology Association of Jordan (INTAJ) revealed that 63 percent of companies
in the IT sector have begun implementing
artificial intelligence (AI) systems
in the development of their products and services.

Nidal Bitar, the CEO of INTAJ, emphasized that this trend
reflects the growing importance of AI as a fundamental element in innovation
and operational improvement within companies, Al-Mamlaka TV reported.
Companies are significantly focusing on
using AI to enhance their capabilities across various departments, enabling them to improve the
services they offer and develop new products that efficiently meet market
needs.
The application of AI extends beyond product enhancement; it
also plays a crucial role in
boosting operational efficiency. By leveraging AI
tools, companies can become more effective and flexible.
The study highlighted a strong emphasis on data analysis,
with 42 percent of companies expressing interest in integrating data analysis
tools and technologies into their products. This demonstrates how companies can
harness big data to better understand the market, enhance customer experiences,
and
make informed decisions based on accurate and analyzed data.
Regarding cybersecurity, the study indicated that 36 percent
of companies prioritize enhancing cybersecurity. This reflects the increasing
awareness of the importance of safeguarding data and systems against electronic
attacks, especially in the context of significant digital transformation.
Furthermore, there has been a noticeable increase in
companies showing interest in
Internet of Things (IoT) technology. The study
revealed that 19 percent of companies are working on developing products and
services based on IoT, responding to the growing demand in the market,
particularly with the expansion of 5G networks.
These trends underscore the dynamic nature of Jordan’s
information technology sector and affirm its pivotal role in supporting
innovation and economic growth in the kingdom.
