AMMAN — On Saturday, Jordan’s
minister of interior, Mazen
Al-Faraya, met with the Iraqi ambassador to Jordan, Haidar Al-Athari, to
discuss strengthening bilateral ties between the two countries, especially in
regards to security, economy, and the Iraqi community
in Jordan.

The minister contended that Jordan’s continuous
cooperation with Iraq is in line with Royal directives that push for the
interests of both
Jordanians and Iraqis, according to Al-Ghad news.
Faraya pointed to the kingdom’s readiness
to ease any obstacles that Iraqi people may encounter when entering or staying in
Jordan.
For his part, Athari underlined some of the issues Jordan’s Iraqi community is facing
and expressed his appreciation for the Kingdom’s cooperation and the
facilitations it provided to Iraqi residents and visitors in Jordan.
Both parties agreed to continue cooperating in matters that serve their
countries.
