AMMAN — Safadi held a separate meeting with Kuwaiti Minister
of Foreign Affairs Salem Abdullah Jaber Al-Sabah on means of increasing
bilateral cooperation and developing historical relations between their
countries, Al-Mamlaka TV reported.

It said the quest is in line with the directives of
His Majesty King Abdullah,
and His Highness the Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
In a meeting, also held on the sidelines of the preparatory ministerial
meetings for the Arab Summit, the two ministers agreed to prepare for a meeting
of the Supreme Joint Jordanian-Kuwaiti Committee.
The committee held its last meeting in February 2019 in Amman. The upcoming
meeting is expected to operationalize productive initiatives as soon as
possible, as they offer a practical means to deepen cooperation in the
economic, trade, and investment fields, among others.
Safadi and Sabah also discussed Arab issues, notably the
Palestinian crisis,
which is the foremost central Arab issue. They both affirmed the importance of
bilateral coordination in efforts to resolve crises, maintain security and stability,
and serve Arab interests.
They stressed the need to strengthen joint Arab action, and emphasized the
importance of the Arab Summit, hosted by Algeria, in achieving this aim.
Safadi and Sabah also praised the development of cooperation between the
Kingdom and Kuwait.
