Jordan Participates in Launch of China-Arab Policy, Capacity Building Network

Amman  - The Service and Public Administration Commission (SPAC) joined a symposium in Beijing to inaugurate a China-Arab network for policy research and capacity building, in the presence of leaders from the public sector in Arab countries, China, and international organizations.اضافة اعلان

In a statement on Thursday, the SPAC highlighted that the network, developed in coordination with the Middle East and North Africa for Public Administration Research (MENAPAR), the International Institute of Administrative Sciences, and the International Association of Schools and Institutes of Administration, aims to enhance cooperation in development, governance, and policy research.

The initiative was spearheaded by the Chinese National Academy of Governance, with members ranging from government agencies and administrative schools to think tanks and universities from both regions.

Speaking at the symposium, SPAC Chairman Sameh Nasser emphasized Jordan’s commitment to political, economic, and administrative reforms, citing the Public Sector Modernization Roadmap as a cornerstone of these efforts.

The SPAC plays a central role in these reforms by promoting governance, transparency, equal opportunities, and compliance with policies aimed at modernizing services and public administration, he said.

Nasser stressed Jordan’s dedication to fostering partnerships within the network to implement initiatives that enhance public sector performance. He also praised the strong historical ties between Jordan and China, commending China's support for Arab issues, particularly the Palestinian cause.

On the sidelines of the symposium, Nasser met with the Vice President of the Chinese National Academy of Governance and representatives from the Jordanian Embassy in Beijing to discuss joint cooperation. He invited the academy to participate in the ninth MENAPAR conference, set to take place in Amman next April.

During his visit, Nasser reviewed China's advanced use of technology in governance, highlighting its role in improving efficiency and service delivery through clear plans and strategic visions.

The Jordanian delegation also engaged with Ambassador Hussam Husseini and military attaché Brigadier General Muwaffaq Khalifat to discuss follow-up mechanisms for enhancing collaboration with China’s National Academy of Governance.
