Jordan Participates in the Arab Ministerial Conference on Education in Doha

Doha – The 14th Conference of Arab Ministers of Education, organized by the Arab League Educational, Cultural, and Scientific Organization (ALECSO), in partnership with Qatar’s Ministry of Education and Higher Education and the Qatar National Commission for Education, Culture, and Science, commenced today in Doha. اضافة اعلان

Jordan is represented at the conference by its Minister of Education, Dr. Azmi Mahafzah.

The conference, held under the theme “Inclusive Education and Teacher Empowerment: A Strategic Vision for Education in the Arab World,” was inaugurated by Dr. Ibrahim bin Saleh Al-Nuaimi, Undersecretary of Qatar’s Ministry of Education and Higher Education.

The event, which will run until Tuesday, features wide participation from education ministers across Arab countries, representatives from international and regional organizations, and a distinguished group of education experts and specialists.

This conference, a follow-up to the 13th General Conference of ALECSO held in Rabat in May 2023, focuses on several strategic themes, including:
Providing inclusive and sustainable education for all.

Ensuring equity in access to high-quality educational opportunities, particularly integrating individuals with disabilities into the educational system.
Embracing digital transformation and leveraging technology to enhance and develop education.

Supporting research and innovation.
Empowering teachers and enhancing their capabilities to achieve excellence in the educational process.

The conference serves as a high-level platform for Arab nations to exchange experiences and successful practices in education, address the most pressing challenges in this vital sector, and work on developing educational policies and curricula.

It also aims to improve the infrastructure of education systems and advance digital transformation and innovation in education, contributing to the sustainable development goals of the Arab region.

This event highlights Qatar’s leadership role in supporting educational development on both Arab and global levels and underscores its commitment to fostering educational cooperation among Arab countries to achieve a shared vision for advancing the education sector.
