AMMAN — Director-General of Jordan Post
Khaled Al-Laham said on Sunday that the Jordan Post is seeking to launch an
online shopping website that will allow Jordanians to receive delivery orders
via the postal service, according to Al-Mamlaka TV.

Laham said the website is part of Jordan
Post’s 2023 strategy, which includes giving Jordanians the opportunity to
purchase from “international websites” and pay electronically.
He added that the website will include
virtual addresses to allow
Jordan Post customers to shop online. Their
purchases will then be delivered to their homes through the postal service.
The director-general highlighted digital
transformation as part of the postal service’s 2023 strategy, including the
installation of “smart boxes” at malls for mail delivery.
Around 67,000 beneficiaries of the
National Aid Fund received aid without needing to check their mail, Laham said,
adding that they can collect the funds through ATMs.
He also said
eFawateercom, Jordan’s
electronic bill payment system can be used to complete payments at 120 post
offices across the country.
