AMMAN — Over 90 participants from 12
Rotary clubs and eighth Rotaract clubs gathered in Amman for the seventh annual
Jordan Rotary Conference last Friday.

The conference, which was under the
theme of “Together we do better Rotary", aimed to improve collaboration
and increase the impact of Rotary in Jordan through discussions and
brainstorming sessions.
The conference was opened by
Conference Chair Maher Al-Khaiyat and included speeches from Deputy District
Governor Diala Al-Alami and Incoming District Governor Bashar Haddad.
Attendees gained insight into Rotary
Jordan initiatives through presentations and panel discussions on topics such
as membership, polio walk, finance, training, youth, and the upcoming regional
conference in Beirut.
Panel discussionsThe first panel discussion focused
on youth and community engagement, led by Rana Rizkallah. Meanwhile, the second
discussed vocational training and work ethics, and was led by former Rotary
president Khaled Kawar.
The conference also included an interactive
networking session, led by Abdalla Mazahreh, and a recognition of new members
and Paul Harris members, and a performance by the Rotary Orchestra of Jordan.
Rotary in Jordan started in 1956
with the establishment of the Rotary Club of Amman and has since grown to
include over 450 members across 12 clubs.
Projects are funded through club membership
fees, donations, and grants from the Rotary Foundation.
