Jordan, Saudi Arabia Ink Agreement to Advance Nursing Training

Amman – The Jordan Nursing Council and Saudi Arabia’s Almaarefa University signed a cooperation agreement on Monday to advance training and consultancy in nursing, reflecting a shared commitment to elevating healthcare standards.اضافة اعلان

The agreement aims to enhance academic and practical competencies for students while fostering an integrated educational environment. Both parties stressed that these efforts align with broader aspirations to raise healthcare service standards in the region.

Under the accord, the Jordan Nursing Council will prioritize Almaarefa University students’ access to advanced training facilities and laboratories. It will also deliver education across various academic levels according to the curriculum, provide technical support within available resources, and offer specialized training for faculty members. Additionally, the Council will deliver technical consultations and establish a distance-learning platform for remote training.

For its part, Almaarefa University has pledged to identify training requirements on a continual basis, prepare a comprehensive training plan, and supply educational material tailored to the partnership’s goals. Both sides will closely coordinate to monitor the implementation of teaching and training initiatives, ensuring sustained collaboration and mutual benefit.

The Secretary-General of the Jordan Nursing Council, Dr. Hani Nawafleh, highlighted the agreement as a testament to the enduring partnership between Jordan and Saudi Arabia. He emphasized the Council’s dedication, guided by the directives of Her Highness Princess Muna Al Hussein, to fostering regional cooperation, exchanging expertise, and advancing nursing education through clear, structured frameworks that address the needs of a skilled workforce.

Advisor to the President of Almaarefa University, Dr. Abdulrahman Sagheer, underscored the vital role such partnerships play in enhancing educational quality and training while noting the university’s active pursuit of agreements with other institutions to further scientific research and academic collaboration.

As part of their visit to the Jordan Nursing Council, the Almaarefa University delegation toured the Clinical Simulation Center and Examination Center. They reviewed the Council's contributions to developing the nursing and midwifery professions both locally and regionally, underlining its role as a regional leader in healthcare education.
