AMMAN — The director general of the Land Transport Regulatory Commission, Tariq Al-Habashneh, has announced the return of shuttle cars traveling the Jordan-Saudi Arabia route, after a hiatus of more than a year due to the
COVID-19 pandemic.

In a statement to the Jordan News Agency, Petra, on Thursday, Habashneh stressed the need for drivers wishing to travel to Saudi Arabia to have received two doses of the coronavirus
vaccine or one dose 14 days before travel. The vaccine must be approved by Saudi Arabia.
Habashneh added that drivers are also obligated to take a PCR test and receive negative results 72 hours before travel, with the driver having to obtain a 6-month visa and register it on the Saudi “Tawakulna” platform.
