Amman – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates strongly condemned the publication of maps by official Israeli accounts on social media platforms, which claim to be historical maps of Israel.

These maps include parts of occupied Palestinian territories, Jordan, Lebanon, and Syria, coinciding with racist remarks by Israeli Minister of Finance, who advocates for annexing the West Bank and establishing settlements in the Gaza Strip.
In a statement, ministry spokesperson Dr. Sufian Qudah emphasized Jordan's absolute rejection of these policies and inflammatory statements, which seek to deny the Palestinian people's right to establish an independent and sovereign state within the borders of June 4, 1967, with Jerusalem as its capital.
He further stressed that such actions do not affect Jordan or diminish the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
Dr. Qudah highlighted that these claims and delusions, embraced and promoted by Israeli extremists within the government, fuel ongoing cycles of violence and conflict, constituting a blatant violation of international norms and laws.
This requires a clear international stance condemning these actions and warning against their detrimental consequences for the security and stability of the region.
He called on the Israeli government to immediately cease these provocative actions and the inflammatory statements made by Israeli officials, which have no place other than in the minds of extremists and contribute to escalating conflicts, posing a threat to international peace and security.
