AMMAN — Jordan and the
United Arab Emirates on Thursday signed a memorandum of understanding to cooperate in the field of social development, according to Jordan News Agency, Petra.

The agreement was inked by Minister of Social Development Ayman Mufleh and the Emirati Minister of Community Development Hessa bint Essa Buhumaid.
The agreement, signed on the sidelines of the 77th session of the executive office of the Council of Arab Ministers of Social Affairs, covers seven areas in social development within the framework of strengthening joint Arab social work and joint efforts to boost ties and cooperation to serve the two countries' peoples.
Under the memorandum, Jordan and the UAE will exchange expertise and best practices on the rehabilitation and empowerment of people with disabilities, as well as benefit from the laws and legislation that regulate social work. It will also cover other areas of social work including those related to women, productive families and the elderly.
