Jordan, UK ink MoU on statistics cooperation

AMMAN — Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Zeina Toukan, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with British Ambassador to Jordan, Bridget Brind, to frame joint cooperation between the Department of Statistics (DoF) and the UK Office for National Statistics, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.اضافة اعلان

A statement issued by the Ministry on Thursday said that the two-year MoU aims to provide technical support to the DoF, especially in implementing the department's plan to transform into an interactive statistical center as part of the public sector modernization roadmap.

Under the MoU, a group of informal sector activities will be estimated, the construction index will be established, and the indicators of volumes and prices for services, transportation, and communications activities will be provided in the short term, the statement added.
