AMMAN — Balqa Applied University
(BAU) President Ahmad Al-Ajlouni discussed with the cultural affairs officer at
the US embassy in Amman, McKenzie Louw, on Tuesday ways to expand collaboration
with American universities, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

Ajlouni said a number of BAU professors, primarily from the medical
school, were educated at a number of prestigious US universities, and that the
BAU is looking for a closer relationship with US universities through student
scholarships and faculty exchange.
He said that the university is prepared to host Arabic-language courses
through collaboration with US universities, citing numerous projects funded by
the US-Jordanian University Cooperation Network for university researchers.
Louw said that the visit aimed to strengthen ties between the BAU and
American universities, promising to inform American academic institutions about
the BAU’s level of scientific and academic excellence.
