The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates welcomed the European Parliament’s vote in its plenary session today in Strasbourg, approving a Macro-Financial Assistance (MFA) package worth €500 million for Jordan.اضافة اعلان

The ministry’s spokesperson, Dr. Sufian Qudah, stated that the European Parliament supported the aid package for Jordan with overwhelming approval from the present lawmakers, securing 571 votes. He also noted that the European Commission will next propose an additional assistance package for Jordan worth €500 million, bringing the total amount provided to the Kingdom under this framework to €1 billion for the years 2025-2027.

Dr. Qudah expressed Jordan’s pride and appreciation for the support provided by the European Union, which strengthens the strategic partnership between the two sides and acknowledges the Kingdom’s role in striving to achieve peace and stability in the region.

On December 29, 2025, His Majesty King Abdullah II and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen witnessed the signing of a comprehensive strategic partnership agreement between Jordan and the European Union in Brussels. At that time, a financial aid package amounting to approximately €3 billion for the years 2025-2027 was announced, including €640 million in grants, €1.4 billion in investment support, and the €1 billion Macro-Financial Assistance package.
