The Ministry's official spokesperson, Dr. Sufian Qudah, stated that the resolution adopted by the Executive Board today reaffirms the call on Israel, the occupying power, to cease all its illegal and unilateral actions in the Old City of Jerusalem and its walls, which undermine the exceptional cultural and historical value of the city and place its cultural heritage at risk.

Qudah emphasized that this resolution reaffirms Jordan’s consistent position regarding the Old City of Jerusalem and its walls, including the Islamic and Christian holy sites. He added that it also reiterates the content of previous resolutions issued by the Executive Board and the World Heritage Committee concerning Jerusalem.
