The Kingdom also ranked
positively in indicators for measuring political,
economic, and financial
risks, following the GCC and Morocco, Dhaman said.
The first quarter of
the 2021 Investment Climate Report, published by Dhaman, stated that Jordan's
progress at the pan-Arab level came post achieving "advanced"
rankings in indicators to obtain financial credit, according to Petra.
The report stated that
Jordan garnered 134 points on the tax collection indicator and 34 points on
business environment reforms.
The report named
improvements to financial facilities, reforms to the business environment
across the country, and the endorsement of a new insolvency law were named as
three crucial steps taken by Jordan.
Improvement in the
facilities area and the endorsement of the insolvency law allowed for credit to
be offered by introducing a new secure transaction law. The reforms also
include launching a modern and unified collateral registry that provides
creditors priority while also improving the accessibility of credit information
to financial institutions, according to the report.
