Through its platform on X (formerly known as Twitter), the
center urged people to
avoid direct exposure to sunlight during midday and to
increase fluid intake. Additionally, it advised against
igniting fires in forested or dry grassy areas.
Likewise, the center called for a controlled use of air
conditioning to mitigate the risks of excessive electrical loads.
Furthermore, it emphasized not leaving children unattended inside closed, parked vehicles exposed to the sun. It also stressed the
importance of not leaving sanitizers inside vehicles during temperature spikes,
due to their flammable nature.
The center also advised refraining from swimming except in
designated areas and cautioned against swimming in agricultural ponds.
On Saturday, the peak temperature is
expected to reach 41 degrees Celsius, followed by 42 degrees Celsius on Sunday
in Amman, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).
