Jordan churches request cancellation of Christmas celebrations

AMMAN – The Council of Church Leaders inJordan has requested the cancellation of all the festive Christmas activities and events for this year out of respect for those killed in Gaza and all of Palestine.  اضافة اعلان

This includes Christmas bazaars, musical scout performances, gift distribution rounds for children, and Christmas decorations, with celebrations limited to religious prayers and rituals, according to Al Mamlaka.

The Council further announced that all church offerings for the upcoming Sunday, November 12, 2023, will be allocated for the benefit of Gaza and its people.

They encourage everyone to donate through the official channels provided by some of the churches.
