AMMAN — The
Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates strongly denounced the recent attacks carried out by Israeli settlers on
several villages in the
occupied Palestinian territories. The ministry called
on Israel to immediately halt its aggression and condemned the Israeli
government's approval of the construction of 1,000
new settlement units in the
occupied West Bank.

In a statement released on Wednesday,
Sinan Majali, the
official spokesperson for the ministry, expressed deep concern over the
continuous violations and attacks in the
occupied Palestinian territories, the
Jordan News Agency, Petra Reported.
He emphasized that these actions foreshadowed further
escalation and represented a dangerous policy that the
international community should urgently work to prevent, in order to avoid more violence.
Majali stressed the imperative of preventing the eruption of
cycles of violence that pose a threat to security and peace. He emphasized that
such escalations would have consequences affecting all parties involved.
The spokesperson underlined the urgent need to put an end to
the dangerous escalation in the
occupied Palestinian territories. He
highlighted those unilateral measures aimed at constructing and expanding
settlements, seizing lands, displacing Palestinians, and subjecting them to
attacks were illegal acts that were rejected and condemned.
Majali further emphasized that these Israeli practices
constituted a severe
violation of international humanitarian law. Moreover,
they undermined the foundations of peace and hindered the prospects of
achieving a two-state solution.
The
Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates'
condemnation of the Israeli settler attacks and settlement construction
reflects the growing international concern regarding the situation in the occupied
Palestinian territories.
