Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates spokesman Haitham Abul-Ful said on Sunday that Jordan continues to
facilitate flights operating between Sanaa and Amman, Al-Mamlaka TV reported.

According to the Civil Aviation Regulatory
Commission (
CARC), Yemeni Airlines operated 86 flights between Amman and Sanaa
from May through September, transporting more than 26,000 passengers,
A truce was brokered by the UN in Yemen in April; it
was extended twice, but ended on October 2 with no new agreement to extend it
reached.
UN envoy to Yemen Hans Grundberg on Sunday expressed
“regrets” over the failure to reach an agreement to extend the truce in Yemen.
Jordan also expressed its regrets, according to the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates.
A flight from
Sanaa arrived in Amman for the first
time in six years on May 16. The majority of travelers were Yemeni patients.
The last flight between the two capitals landed on September 30.
One of the provisions of
the truce in Yemen stipulated that “two commercial flights per week will be
operate from Sanaa to Jordan and Egypt during a period of two months,”
according to the UN.
