Many locations in Jordan meet international
specifications for astronomical observation, including tourist sites such as
the Amman Citadel, Petra, Wadi Rum, Jerash, Irbid, and Qasr Al-Kharraneh,
Sakaji said.
The partial eclipse last Tuesday has revealed the
interest of the Jordanian society in astronomical phenomena, he said, adding
that several schools and universities dealt with the event by setting up
observation stations.
Sakaji recommended further enriching Jordan’s educational curricula
pertaining to astronomical content, particularly the natural sciences,
geography, and geosciences curricula.
