AMMAN – On Wednesday, the
Ministry of Energy announced that
the government will raise the price of gasoline next month, while keeping the
price of diesel and kerosene unchanged.

The government's fuel pricing committee held its
monthly meeting to determine local prices for petroleum derivatives for the period from
February 1-29, Al-Mamlaka TV and Jordan News Agency, Petra reported.
Under the committee's decision, the price per litre of
95 octane and 90 octane gasoline will climb by JD0.020 and diesel per litre will
increase by JD0.015 during the month of February. The price per litre of 90 octane gasoline will sell at JD0.910, compared to JD0.895 per liter
in January, and 95 octane gasoline will sell at JD1.150 against JD1.130 per
liter a month earlier, while diesel price is fixed to JD0.720 per liter.
In implementation of the Cabinet directives, the price of
kerosene was fixed at JD0.620 per liter, and the price of the gas cylinder
remained at JD7.
