AMMAN — Jordan will host the 2022
Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (
OSCE) Mediterranean
Conference today, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

The two-day meeting in the Dead Sea is organized by
North Macedonia, Chair of 2022 Mediterranean Partners for Co-operation Group
and the OSCE Secretariat/External Co-operation Section.
The gathering will bring together representatives
from 57 OSCE countries and six Mediterranean countries to discuss advancing
security and cooperation in the Mediterranean through dialogue with the OSCE
Mediterranean Partners for Cooperation, a statement by the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said on Sunday.
The event will also
feature a political segment devoted to the role of youth, with thematic
sessions tackling challenges caused by climate change, human trafficking, and
women’s economic empowerment.
Since its inception, the OSCE has placed a high
priority on security issues in the Mediterranean region, according to the
statement.
