Jordan launches 5G, anticipates 14 service centers by 2024

AMMAN – On Tuesday, Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, Ahmed Al-Hanandeh, stated that Jordan achieved a significant milestone by becoming the first country after the Gulf states to introduce 5G services for both public and private sectors, Al-Mamlaka TV reported.اضافة اعلان

During a meeting, Hanandeh emphasized that 5G networks have brought about a transformative shift in digital communications and the internet. Notably, this advancement had a financial impact on the state treasury, amounting to approximately JD362 million.

Furthermore, he highlighted that at the beginning of 2024, 14 government service centers, currently being established in several governorates, will be fully operational.

The budget for the Ministry of Economy is estimated at JD41.44 million, reflecting an increase of approximately JD5.2 million compared to the re-estimated 2023 budget.
