The first project is a $20 million tourist village that will
focus on integrated agri-tourism in Ajloun. The village will be built in the
Sakhra neighborhood and will include an agricultural village that integrates
with the surrounding
agricultural areas.
The area is known for its agricultural tourism potential,
and there is a developmental area that can be utilized. The village is located
at the proposed entrance within the comprehensive plan of Ajloun Governorate,
which connects
Al-Urdon Street and the Amman Development Corridor, in addition
to the proposed street that connects from Sakhra to the
Ajloun Cable Car Project on Al-Sawan.
The expected investment size of the project, which is
divided into three land plots in Sakhra, is approximately $20 million. This
project will contribute to the development of the area, provide new job
opportunities for its residents, and increase income for the local community.
The second project involves
rehabilitating and transforming
the southern village of Deir Al-Samadiah into a unique agricultural heritage
tourist destination. The project relies primarily on reusing heritage houses
and courtyards in the area for heritage and agricultural tourism activities.
The project will provide bed and breakfast accommodation and
highlight the rural lifestyle of the 19th century to enhance the level of
heritage tourism products.
The expected investment size of the project is $1.4 million.
The land consists of several plots owned by a number of citizens, and the total
area is 10,255 square meters. The area used for the project is 6,637 square
meters, and the future expansion area is 3,618 square meters.
This project will rely on transferring the local experience
to the visitor in its form as it was at the end of the 19th century and the
beginning of the 20th century, through the experience of living in a rural
house, harvesting crops, and cooking local dishes. It focuses on traditions and
handicrafts through work and interaction between tourists and local residents,
as well as educating tourists about the history of Ajloun and the region.
The third project, “
Ajloun National Park," is an
eco-friendly park with eco-conscious excursion sites, wooded recreational
areas, and basic services. It includes parking lots for cars and buses, popular
restaurants and cafes, as well as restrooms and other basic services, to spend
a special time with the family in the embrace of the beautiful forests of
Ajloun.
The expected investment size of the project is $5 million,
with an internal rate of return estimated at 14.5 percent. It is located in the
Suwan development zone in Ajloun on plot number 22 with an area of 137,000
square meters and on plot number 214 with an area of 290,000 square meters from
the Suwan basin. These lands are owned by the state treasury/forestry and are
part of plot number 36 with an area of 11,000 square meters that contains the
cable car launch station site. The land is characterized by its beautiful and
distinctive panoramic views of the castle. The density of oak trees also
characterizes it.
The project provides a suitable space to combine
entertainment and tourism activities in one location that is characterized by
an environment suitable for investment, the density of forest trees, and the
presence of a rocky area that serves as a plateau to enjoy the general view of
the forests and the adjacent cable car.
The activities and events of the park will focus on the
rocky area in the governorate, preserving the existing trees as much as
possible, and utilizing the vegetation cover for camping and adventure
activities. The project is expected to provide a large number of job
opportunities, especially for the people of Ajloun.
