Jordan marks 7,415 new cases positivity rate of 18.53%

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 7,415 new COVID-19 cases and 16 new deaths on Thursday, bringing the total death toll to 13,767 and the total number of cases to 1,606,837.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 3,142 cases, while Zarqa recorded 721 cases. Irbid registered 868 cases, Balqa 516 cases, Karak recorded 385 cases, Jerash recorded 254 cases, and Tafileh recorded 192 cases. Madaba registered 307 cases, Aqaba 247, Ramtha 115, and Ajloun 208.

The ministry said in a statement that 163 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 120 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 131,062 according to the ministry. Out of 40,023 COVID-19 tests conducted Thursday, 18.53 percent of them came back positive.
