Jordan marks 7,861 new cases positivity rate of 18.42%

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 7,861 new COVID-19 cases and 18 new deaths on Friday, bringing the total death toll to 13,785 and the total number of cases to 1,614,698.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 3,707 cases, while Zarqa recorded 752 cases. Irbid registered 1,108 cases, Balqa 619 cases, Karak recorded 196 cases, Jerash recorded 249 cases, and Tafileh recorded 143 cases. Madaba registered 245 cases, Aqaba 125, Ramtha 100, and Ajloun 171.

The ministry said in a statement that 164 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 128 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 116,364 according to the ministry. Out of 42,668 COVID-19 tests conducted Friday, 18.42 percent of them came back positive.
