Jordan marks day for elimination of violence against women

AMMAN — Jordan is participating in the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, which falls on November 25 annually, and has joined the UN Women campaign “16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence”, according to Al-Ghad News. The Ministry of Social Development noted that Jordan has made great strides in strengthening gender equality, empowering women, and reducing violence in all its forms within the Kingdom. Under Royal directives, Jordan has created basic planning documents to enhance gender equality, empower women, and reduce violence, including the Jordan Vision 2025, the political modernization system, the Economic Modernization Vision, the roadmap for developing the public sector, and the 2030 Agenda.
