It said the plan
had been paused for a while, but it is likely to be revived to contain the
increasing population and traffic congestions.
State Minister for
Media Affairs Faisal Al-Shboul said that the proposal for an administrative
capital dated back to 2017, but the government paused the idea for a while.
Now, he asserted it
has been brought up for discussion.
It is assumed that
the new city will soon be announced. It will be smart, integrated, and
responsive to technology. The city would be built between Amman and Zarqa to
contain the exponential population increase, according to Shboul.
