Germany,
for instance, placed restrictions on travelers from Jordan starting with
December 5. The announcement was made by the German health agency for disease
prevention and control, the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), according to
SchengenVisaInfo.com.
Any
traveler to Germany who spent time in a high-risk zone will have to carry a
valid PCR test result, or proof of vaccination or recovery. Travelers have to
register and upload the documents through the digital registration portal
einreiseanmeldung.de; they receive confirmation via email. Furthermore,
travelers will have to present proof of vaccination, or recovery or PCR test
results along with the travel confirmation to the air carrier.
Travelers
from Jordan and other high-risk countries are obligated to quarantine. Those
who upload proof of recovery or vaccination certificates will not need to
quarantine. However, those who enter the country with a negative PCR test
result can leave quarantine if they test negative again by the fifth day,
according to RKI.
Jordanian
officials had no comment on the news.
