AMMAN — Jordanian
envoy in Baku, Sami Ghosheh, led the Jordanian delegation in the Contact Group
of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) summit on the
COVID-19 pandemic in Baku,
Azerbaijan On Thursday.

The summit aimed to emphasize the importance of joint
efforts by NAM member states to recover from the pandemic's repercussions, the
Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Ramifications of COVID-19The summit witnessed the participation of 70 countries and
focused on discussing the ramifications of the COVID-19 pandemic. The attendees
discussed the significance of utilizing technology to overcome the
repercussions of the
pandemic and the governments' response to its impact on
the economies of the member states.
In addition to this, the summit discussed the development of
multilateral dialogue, expanding cooperation, and growing challenges and
threats to international security and stability.
The summit aimed to strengthen collaboration between member
states to tackle the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic and to promote global
cooperation.
