VMLY&R Amman, the company that hired the ushers, said in a press statement that the ushers were hired for a two-day period and trained "only to guide and direct attendees through the pavilion, and to provide basic meet-and-greet duties," adding that speaking to the media "was never within the purview of the ushers".
The statement added that both employees have since been "removed from their duties" at the pavilion.
