A board statement said a session was dedicated for
Jordan, facilitated by the President of the Catholic Center and Member of the
Board, Father Rifaat Bader.
Bader said that Jordan’s accreditation as a guest of
this World Workshops for Religious Tourism in its 10th session, demonstrates
the efforts of the Ministry of Tourism, the Jordan Tourism Board and the
Baptism Site Authority in cooperation with local churches that form a linking
point between East and West Christians.
Head of the Religious Tourism Department of the
board Amer Al-Tawal emphasized the importance of visiting Jordan’s holy land.
The presentation touched upon several themes,
including the preparation of visitors and tourist experiences, including the
Christian pilgrimage route “Eitheria” and the route of John the Baptist, the
patron saint of the church in Jordan.
Tawal invited the participants to visit Jordan and live a
unique experience, a homogeneous mixture of tourist experiences mixed with the
authentic Jordanian spirit of its people with its churches and mosques.
