This proposal was made in statements made by Safadi prior to
the launch of the Brussels Conference to Support Syria and the region, and
which Jordan is participating, Khaberni reported.
Assuming responsibility
Safadi stressed that the international community assumes its
responsibilities towards the refugees, adding it is no longer possible to deal
with the same old mechanism for resolving the Syrian crisis.
Jordan is the largest refugee-hosting country in relation to
the world's population, and there are 1.3 million Syrians living in the
Kingdom.
