AMMAN — The
Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities said that
the number of visitors to Jordan during the first seven months of the current
year has achieved a significant increase compared to last year, reaching about
3,720,259 visitors, with a growth rate of 51.3 percent.

The ministry's monthly report showed a 47 percent increase
in the number of
overnight tourists during the first seven months of the
current year compared to the same period last year, reaching 3,085,145
visitors, Hala News reported.
Specific Statistics
Overnight
tourists from Asian countries recorded a
remarkable increase in H1 2023, with a growth rate of 145.9 percent compared to
the same period last year, representing the highest growth rate achieved from
any region.
The report also showed an 85.8 percent increase in overnight
tourists from European countries during H1 2023, followed by a 78.1 percent
increase in tourists from American countries.
According to data from the
Central Bank, the tourism income
during the first half of the current year increased by 59.4 percent compared to
the same period last year, amounting to around JD2.45 billion.
