Jordan records 1,238 cases on Sunday

AMMAN — The number of COVID-19 deaths recorded on Sunday reached 10, while a total of 1,238 new cases were recorded in Jordan, bringing the death toll to 10,213 and the caseload to 783,448اضافة اعلان

Breaking down Sunday’s tally, the Ministry of Health stated that Amman recorded 691 cases, while Zarqa recorded 138 cases.

Irbid registered 89 cases, while Balqa recorded 81 cases.

Karak recorded 22, Jerash recorded 34 cases, and Tafileh recorded 47.

Madaba registered 23 cases, Aqaba 18, and Ajloun 36.

Mafraq registered 21 new cases.

Ramtha recorded 8 cases.

The ministry added in a statement that some 87 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 97 were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 11,695, according to the Ministry of Health.

Around 4.08 percent of the 30,370 COVID-19 tests that were conducted today came back positive.
