Jordan records 1,746 new COVID-19 cases

AMMAN— Jordan recorded 1,746 new COVID-19 cases and 11 new deaths Tuesday, bringing the total death toll to 10,976 and the total number of cases to 854,758.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 672 cases, while Zarqa recorded 129 cases. Irbid registered 403 cases, Balqa 79 cases, Karak recorded 70, Jerash recorded 43 cases, and Tafileh recorded 26. Madaba registered 32 cases, Aqaba 92, and Ajloun 69.

The ministry said in a statement that around 78 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 83 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 18,789 according to the ministry. Around 5.29 percent of the 33,021 COVID-19 tests conducted Tuesday came back positive.
