Jordan records 12,751 new COVID-19 cases, positivity rate stands at 25.28%

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 12,751 new COVID-19 cases and 12 new deaths on Saturday, bringing the total death toll to 13,300 and the total number of cases to 1,314,243.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 5,814 cases, while Zarqa recorded 1,779 cases. Irbid registered 1,621 cases, Balqa 796 cases, Karak recorded 736 cases, Jerash recorded 258 cases, and Tafileh recorded 217 cases. Madaba registered 375cases, Aqaba 270, Ramtha 29, and Ajloun 370.

The ministry said in a statement that 148 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 208 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 137,153 according to the ministry. Out of 50,439 COVID-19 tests conducted Saturday, 25.28 percent of them came back positive.
