Jordan records 17,322 new COVID-19 cases

AMMAN— Jordan recorded 17,322 new COVID-19 cases and 31 new deaths on Wednesday, bringing the total death toll to 13,585 and the total number of cases to 1,526,272.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 6,380 cases, while Zarqa recorded 2,300 cases. Irbid registered 2,850 cases, Balqa 1,091 cases, Karak recorded 708 cases, Jerash recorded 583 cases, and Tafileh recorded 497 cases. Madaba registered 588 cases, Aqaba 771, Ramtha 382, and Ajloun 370.

The ministry said in a statement that 246 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 223 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 194,707 according to the ministry. Out of 64460 COVID-19 tests conducted Wednesday, 26.87 percent of them came back positive.
