Jordan records 2,386 new COVID-19 cases

AMMAN — The number of COVID-19 deaths recorded on Monday reached 45, according to The Ministry of Health, while a total of 2,386 new cases were recorded in the Kingdom on Monday, bringing the death toll to 8,660 and the caseload to 704,540.اضافة اعلان

Breaking down Monday’s tally, the ministry said:

897 in Amman
420 in Irbid
263 in Zarqa
141 in Mafraq
134 in Balqa
96 in Karak
70 in Aqaba
59 in Jerash
85 in Ajloun
62 in Madaba
98 in Ma'an
61 in Tafilah

The ministry added in a statement that some 2,790 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 176 others were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 24,753, according to the ministry’s statement.

Around 11.68 percent of the 20,434 COVID-19 tests that were conducted today came back positive.
