Jordan records 22 new COVID-19 deaths, 21,460 new cases

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 21,460 new COVID-19 cases and 22 new deaths on Thursday, bringing the total death toll to 13,431 and the total number of cases to 1,417,890.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 8,676 cases, while Zarqa recorded 3,303 cases. Irbid registered 3,058 cases, Balqa 1,651 cases, Karak recorded 1,374 cases, Jerash recorded 462 cases, and Tafileh recorded 338 cases. Madaba registered 485 cases, Aqaba 402, Ramtha 32, and Ajloun 708.

The ministry said in a statement that 197 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 276 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 187,347 according to the ministry. Out of 72,951 COVID-19 tests conducted Thursday, 29.42 percent of them came back positive.
