Jordan records 25 new COVID-19 deaths, 18,872 new cases

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 18,872 new COVID-19 cases and 25 new deaths on Friday, bringing the total death toll to 13,456 and the total number of cases to 1,436,762.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 8,332 cases, while Zarqa recorded 1,691 cases. Irbid registered 2,443 cases, Balqa 1,211 cases, Karak recorded 1,033 cases, Jerash recorded 633 cases, and Tafileh recorded 314 cases. Madaba registered 1,044 cases, Aqaba 597, Ramtha 172, and Ajloun 538.

The ministry said in a statement that 214 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 219 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 192,581 according to the ministry. Out of 64,528 COVID-19 tests conducted Friday, 29.25 percent of them came back positive.
